ikea! and lena's 21st birthday
Yesterday was quite a busy day (long as well!) in a good way. I managed to spend yesterday morning with kathy as we ran a few errands then hittup ikea. Unfortunately no pictures from ikea (sadface). After ikea kathy's boss, rob had called her to come in early. I met up with him as we had discussed the website I will be designing for his dance studio and what not. It's been a while since my work @ Asian Treasures but I think I'll be able to hold my own on this.
Later that evening, I had decided at the spur of a moment to go down to NYC to help celebrate Lena's 21st birthday. I'm glad I went! I got to spend time with some awesome people (Mari, Erin, Lena, Paulette, Camielle, Sunnie, Ryan, Joel, and Wilson). I managed to get a ride down with Ryan (good looks to ryan for letting me bum a ride). We got proper parking or as ryan said "hey is the difficulty level or rookie?" since we literally parked right in front of the restaurant / lounge. The girls had dinner @ this place called Negril Village. It's a really fancy Jamaican restaurant in West Village.
After dinner, we all headed downstairs for some drinks at the lounge / bar. Let me tell you, those Jamaican's certainly are not shy of using rum. I had a drink called the "Island Tropical Punch" and it was STRONG. After one drink, I certainly was feeling it's wrath for a greater part of the night. Everyone elses drinks tasted really strong, most especially ryan's Jamaican version of a Long Island Iced Tea.
It wasn't long before we all got twisted and headed out to the Hookah Bar called Luxor Cafe. Mind you all that this is the first time EVER that I had smoked in my life. We had ordered three different flavors; melon, strawberry dacquri, and apple. At first when the hookah's were delivered, we were all like "uh how do we use this thing" since the people that actually know how to use a hookah had gone out for some smokey smokey. After a while, we all had figured it out. It wasn't long however, until we've all gotten very tired and it was time to go home. Thanks everyone for a great night!
